The District Round of the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2026 has been rescheduled to 28 November 2025 at 9:30 AM, while the venue remains unchanged — the Auditorium of Andaman Law College (ALC). The information was shared by ALC Principal, Dr. P.V. Nagendra Sarma.

According to the Principal, many students and youth were unable to register online due to technical issues, prompting requests for alternative registration methods. To facilitate wider participation, offline registration has now been introduced.

Fresh appeals have been issued to all Principals in the South Andaman District to motivate more students to join the event. The registration process has also been simplified: interested students may submit their names to their respective NSS Programme Officers, while Principals have been asked to send the final list of participants to Andaman Law College by 24 November 2025.

The competition is open to both students and non-student youth. Participants will be required to speak for three minutes on the topic, “50 Years of Emergency—Lessons for Indian Democracy.” A five-member jury will shortlist 10 participants for the state-level round.

Mr. Sukaranjan Biswas, Joint Director, MyBharat (formerly NYKS), urged the youth to take part actively and help make the programme a grand success. He also appealed to NGOs working with youth to support the initiative.
