Orientation Programme for Teachers on School Safety and Security Held at GMSS Kamorta

A one-day orientation programme on School Safety and Security was organised by the Block Project Office, Nancowrie, at GMSS Kamorta on Saturday. The programme aimed at enhancing preparedness and awareness among teachers to ensure a safer school environment.

During the session, experts from key departments shared vital knowledge on handling emergencies. Mr. Rahil Islam, Sub-Inspector, Police Station Nancowrie, briefed participants on school safety protocols from a law-enforcement viewpoint. Dr. Shabnam Salim, Resource Person from CHC Nancowrie, conducted an informative session on first aid and health emergency management in schools. Mr. Parimal Bepari, Fireman from Fire Station Kamorta, explained fire safety practices, emergency response techniques, and proper evacuation procedures.

Earlier, Mr. Om Prakash, Block Project Officer, Nancowrie, welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of equipping teachers with essential safety skills for the protection and well-being of students.
