PS Pahargaon Seizes Methamphetamine at Jodaikalan; Four Arrested

In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Police Station Pahargaon apprehended four individuals and seized 28 grams of methamphetamine along with ₹27,000 during a raid conducted on 23 November 2025 at Jodaikalan near the Ship Building Yard.

Based on credible input regarding illegal methamphetamine trade, a raiding team was immediately formed under the supervision of Inspector Mohd. Elias, SHO, PS Pahargaon. The team included SI Manish Narayan, SI A. Santhosh and police constables Samsudeen, Shiv Kumar, Santosh Lal and Nuka Raju.

The team swiftly moved to the location, strategically positioned themselves and intercepted two vehicles suspected to be involved in narcotics trade. During the search, police recovered 28 grams of methamphetamine and ₹27,000 from the possession of four suspects identified as:

  • Prosenjit Pramanik, resident of Prothrapur
  • Mohammad Zafar, resident of Phoenix Bay
  • Rahul Rao, resident of Prothrapur
  • Imran Ansari, resident of Garacharma

All four accused were arrested on the spot under relevant provisions of the NDPS Act, 1985, and both vehicles used in the commission of the offence were seized.
