Police Station Pahargaon successfully traced and rescued a 17-year-old missing girl from West Bengal in a swift inter-state operation.
The case began on November 20, 2025, when a missing complaint regarding the minor was lodged at PS Pahargaon. Following the complaint, a kidnapping case was registered, and an intensive search operation was initiated. Through technical analysis and mobile tracking, police traced the minor’s movement to West Bengal. Continuous monitoring and information exchange with West Bengal Police helped narrow down her location to the Goalpokhar–Panjipara area in Uttar Dinajpur District.
Based on the inputs shared by PS Pahargaon, OP Panjipara Police rescued the minor on November 24, 2025. She was then produced before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), Uttar Dinajpur, and placed in a Girls’ Shelter Home.
To ensure her safe repatriation, a police team from PS Pahargaon—comprising SI R. Nirmala (Investigating Officer), SI A. Santhosh and PC Dipankar Mondal—was sent to West Bengal on November 26, 2025. The minor was brought back safely to the Andaman & Nicobar Islands on November 30, 2025, and produced before the Child Welfare Committee, Sri Vijaya Puram.
The operation was carried out under the leadership of Insp. Mohd. Elias, SHO PS Pahargaon, under the command of Mr. Ajay Kumar Rai, DANIPS, SDPO (South Andaman) and the overall supervision of Mr. Manoj Kumar Meena, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District. (Story Based on PR)
