The Model Career Centre conducted an outreach programme for school dropout students at Shore Point Panchayat on December 11, with the objective of identifying out-of-school youth, understanding the reasons for discontinuation of education, and motivating them to pursue skill development and career-oriented opportunities.

Around 30 participants, including students, parents and community members, attended the programme. During the session, officials from the Model Career Centre briefed the participants on various skill development and vocational training programmes available under different Government schemes. Information was also shared on registration and support services offered through the Employment Exchange, including career guidance, counselling, placement assistance, apprenticeship opportunities and short-term skill courses.

The interactive session witnessed positive engagement, with several students expressing willingness to enrol in suitable training programmes aligned with their interests and aptitude. Panchayat representatives present at the programme assured their full cooperation in mobilising more youths from the area for similar initiatives in the future.

The outreach programme forms part of the Model Career Centre’s continued efforts to bring school dropouts into the skill development ecosystem and enhance their employability through structured training and career support services. (Story Based on PR)
