In a bid to promote physical fitness, sportsmanship, and stronger community bonding, the Andaman & Nicobar Police has announced an Volleyball Tournament to be held at Corbyn’s Cove Beach during the last week of December 2025.
The tournament is being organised as part of the Police Department’s ongoing community outreach initiatives aimed at encouraging a healthy lifestyle, fostering discipline, and enhancing positive engagement between the police and local youth. Open to all, the event will not carry any entry fee, ensuring wide participation from across the community.
According to the organisers, participation will be restricted to the first 16 teams on a first-come, first-served basis. The matches will be conducted in a knockout format, and attractive prizes along with medals will be awarded to the winners and runners-up.
Government departments and private youth clubs have been invited to field teams for the tournament. Each team is required to submit details of six players and three substitutes, along with the name of a team manager, making a total of nine members per team. Registrations must be submitted on or before December 25, 2025, by 5.00 pm.
Interested teams may register by contacting any of the designated police officials: Mr. V. Hentho (9933263549), Mr. Mohd. Mustafa (9933297697), or Mr. K. P. Mammu (9474263519). The organisers have clarified that no registrations will be accepted after the stipulated deadline unless approved by the competent authority.
