In a bid to bring the vibrant celebrations of the Island Tourism Festival (ITF) closer to a wider audience, the Directorate of Tourism, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, has arranged live streaming of the festival’s cultural programmes through its official YouTube channel and other social media platforms.
The initiative will enable members of the public who are unable to attend the festival venues in person to watch the live performances seamlessly by scanning a QR code displayed at prominent locations and on ITF publicity materials. The QR code will directly redirect viewers to the official YouTube channel of the Tourism Department, where the cultural programmes will be streamed live.
According to the Tourism Directorate, the move is aimed at ensuring wider outreach and inclusivity by allowing residents, tourists, and culture enthusiasts to experience the colourful array of performances from anywhere. The live-streamed programmes will showcase traditional dances, music, and other artistic expressions presented by renowned artists from the mainland, alongside talented local performers, highlighting the rich cultural diversity of the islands.
The Directorate of Tourism has urged the public to make full use of this digital initiative and participate in the Island Tourism Festival celebrations by scanning the QR code and tuning in live through the Tourism Department’s official YouTube channel and social media handles.
