Hon’ble Member of Parliament for Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, on Monday inaugurated a newly constructed blacktop road at Ward No. 2, Parnasala, under Rangat Tehsil. The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of the Assistant Commissioner, Rangat, PRI members, and a large gathering of local residents.

The blacktop road, measuring approximately 700 metres, has been constructed at a cost of ₹86 lakh from Gram Panchayat funds. The project addresses a long-pending demand of residents, particularly the 1954 settler families, who had been facing persistent difficulties due to the lack of proper pucca road connectivity in the area.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray stated that the road was completed with his support and the dedicated efforts of the Gram Panchayat, led by Pradhan Mr. Bala Murugan. He emphasized that the project would significantly improve connectivity and ease transportation for the local population.

The Hon’ble MP also expressed his appreciation to the Pradhan and members of the Gram Panchayat for successfully addressing this long-standing infrastructure requirement. He noted that the new road would enhance the overall quality of life of the residents by improving access and mobility in the region.
