Ummat Public School, Sri Vijaya Puram, recently organised its Annual Athletic Meet 2025–26, celebrating the spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork and physical fitness among students.
Ms. A. Selva Rani, Councillor of Ward No. 21, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and formally declared the meet open. Students from all classes participated enthusiastically in a range of track and field events, showcasing their athletic skills, discipline and competitive spirit. The high level of energy, fitness and sportsmanship on display was widely appreciated by the gathering, reflecting the school’s strong focus on co-curricular development alongside academics.
The Guest of Honour, Mr. I. A. Khan, commended the students and staff for their dedicated efforts and highlighted the vital role of sports in fostering physical strength, mental resilience and moral values among young learners.
The programme began with a welcome address by the Principal, Ms. Zohra Begum, and concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by the Headmistress, Ms. M. Thamarai Selvi.
