As part of the ongoing Special National Integration Camp (SNIC)–2026, National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets undertook an educational and motivational visit to several key educational institutions and historical landmarks in and around Sri Vijaya Puram.

During the visit, the cadets explored the Zoological Survey of India (ZSI), Samudrika Marine Museum and the Botanical Survey of India (BSI), where they gained valuable insights into the rich biodiversity and wildlife of the region. The cadets were also introduced to the diverse marine life, tribal culture and ecological significance of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The educational tour further included visits to Marina Park and Flag Point, providing the cadets an opportunity to appreciate the natural beauty as well as the strategic importance of the islands.

A major highlight of the programme was the visit to the historic Cellular Jail. The cadets were briefed on the significance of the monument and the heroic sacrifices made by India’s freedom fighters who endured immense hardships during the freedom struggle. The visit concluded with the Light and Sound Show at the Cellular Jail, which vividly portrayed the history of India’s independence movement.
