The Office of the Joint Controller of Communication Accounts organised a Pension Adalat on Friday at the BSNL Office, Wimberlygunj, to address grievances and concerns of pensioners.
The programme was presided over by Mr. Arvind Prakash Xaxa, Joint Controller of Communication Accounts, while Mr. Parashivam attended as the chief guest. The proceedings were conducted by Assistant Accounts Officer Mr. Gopal Khushalani.
During the Pension Adalat, issues related to the payment of pensions were discussed in detail. Senior Accounts Officer Mr. Santosh Kanakala responded to queries raised by pensioners and provided clarifications on pension disbursement matters. Other related topics concerning pensioners’ welfare were also deliberated.
In his presidential address, Mr. Xaxa assured pensioners that their grievances are being resolved promptly and that pensions are being disbursed on time. He stated that Pension Adalats are being organised across different locations to ensure that pensioners throughout the Andaman and Nicobar Islands can benefit from the initiative.
It was also informed that the next Pension Adalat will be held at Rangat on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by the Chair, following which the Pension Adalat was formally declared closed.
