Amit Shah to arrive on a Three-Day Visit to A&N Islands Today

Hon’ble Union Minister of Home Affairs and Minister of Cooperation, Mr. Amit Shah will be arriving on a three-day visit to A & N Islands on 15th October 2021. He will be accorded a warm welcome on his arrival at Veer Savarkar International Airport by the Lt Governor, A & N Islands, Admiral DK Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Member of Parliament, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Mr. Jitendra Narain, DGP, Mr.Satyendra Garg and others. 

Soon after arrival, the Hon’ble Union Minister will visit the National Memorial Cellular Jail and lay wreath at the Martyrs’ Column. He will also visit the cell of Veer Savarkar and pay homage. The Hon’ble Minister will witness a cultural programme as part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ followed by Sound & Light Show based on patriotic theme. Thereafter, the Hon’ble Minister will visit Flag Point and flag off the ‘Go Go Tourist bus’. 

On Oct. 16, the Hon’ble Union Home Minister, Mr. Amit Shah will undertake aerial survey of various developmental projects including Shaheed Dweep eco tourism project, Swaraj Dweep Water Aerodrome. Thereafter, Hon’ble Minister will visit Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island and attend a public function wherein he will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for various developmental projects.

Later in the evening, the Hon’ble Union Minister of Home Affairs & Minister of Cooperation will hold a meeting with Bharatiya Janata Party members at Dr. BR Ambedkar Auditorium.

On Oct.17, the Union Home Minister is scheduled to attend a programme to be organised by A&N Police at Police Line.

The Union Home Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Mr. Ajay Kumar Bhalla will also accompany the Minister during the visit.
