Continuing its welfare-oriented measures aimed at career progression, the Andaman & Nicobar Police on Monday granted Special Grade designation to 24 additional Head Constables, elevating them as Assistant Sub-Inspector (Special Grade).

The move, described as an interim measure, is intended to motivate personnel and improve service conditions within the force. Officials said the initiative reflects the organisation’s continued focus on recognising experience and dedication among its ranks while strengthening morale.

The Special Grade initiative has been introduced as part of broader efforts to ensure career advancement opportunities for eligible personnel and enhance overall efficiency within the department.

Reaffirming its commitment to public service, the Andaman & Nicobar Police stated that it remains dedicated to upholding high standards of professionalism, integrity, and transparency, while delivering effective and people-centric policing to ensure the safety and security of the islands.
