An awareness programme focusing on drug abuse prevention and mental health was recently conducted at Humfreygunj Gram Panchayat with the aim of promoting a healthy and drug-free society.
The programme was organised in collaboration with the National Helpline for Senior Citizens, Tele-MANAS, Police (Narcotics–CID), and the Integrated Rehabilitation Centre for Addicts (IRCA), South Andaman.
As part of the initiative, drawing and painting as well as essay competitions were organised to encourage community participation and raise awareness among youth and the general public about the importance of maintaining a healthy mind and adopting a drug-free lifestyle.
The event witnessed active participation from local residents and students from nearby areas. Through such initiatives, organisers sought to sensitise the community about the harmful effects of substance abuse while promoting mental well-being across society.
