SAI to Host ‘Fit India Waves and Warriors Beach Festival’ at Corbyn’s Cove on March 25

The Sports Authority of India (SAI), Sports Training Centre (STC), Netaji Stadium, Sri Vijaya Puram, will organise a one-day “Fit India Waves and Warriors Beach Festival” at Corbyn’s Cove Beach on March 25, 2026, as part of the nationwide Fit India Movement.

According to an official communication , the event is being organised in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Directorate of Education & Sports, A&N Administration, and the Andaman Association of Tour Operators (AATO). The initiative aims to promote fitness, community participation, and an active lifestyle among youth and the general public through a variety of sports and wellness activities set against the scenic coastal backdrop.

The day-long festival will begin at 6 am with a yoga session, followed by a Zumba session at 7 am. From 9 am to 3 pm, a range of activities including tug-of-war (sand edition), beach relay race, sand fitness circuit, fun games, sea kayaking, and challenge-based competitions will be organised. The event will conclude with a closing ceremony and prize distribution between 4 pm and 5 pm.

As mentioned in the schedule on page 1 of the letter, the activities are designed to combine fitness with recreation, ensuring participation across different age groups and interests.

The event is open to individuals, teams, educational institutions, youth clubs, and fitness enthusiasts. “Whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just looking for a fun day at the beach, there’s something for everyone,” the organisers stated.
