BJP Delegation Meets Chief Secretary to Discuss Issues of N & M Andaman District

Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands along with Mr. R S Sharma, Prabhari, Delanipur Mandal, BJP; Mr. Tushar Bepari, District General Secretary, BJP Mayabunder; Mr. Mohan Rao, District General Secretary, BJP Mayabunder; Mr. Marimuthu and Mr. Siju, Yuva Morcha Karyakarta, Mayabunder, met the Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Administration and discussed several issues which were raised during the recently held dharna at Mayabunder.

The leaders took up the issues and demanded the following from the Chief Secretary:

1. Providing Specialist Doctors at Dr. R.P Hospital, Mayabunder. At present only two doctors are available at the hospital.

2. Providing Ultra-Sound Technician at R.P Hospital, Mayabunder.

3. Improving the supply of LPG in the entire North and Middle Andaman District. The delegation informed the CS that at present the supply of LPG to North and Middle Andaman District is not proper.

4. Improvement in telecommunication especially mobile network connectivity in North and Middle Andaman. They informed the CS at present the mobile network connectivity is very poor in the district.

5. The issue of pending honorarium of Anganwadi Workers. The delegation requested that the honorarium should be paid monthly.

6. The issue of non-payment of Old Age and Widow Pension. The delegation informed the CS that the general public is facing a lot of problems because of non-payment of old age and widow pension on time.

7. The poor condition of National Highway and rural roads. The delegation informed the CS that the general public is facing a lot of problems because of the issue.

8. They also discussed the arbitrary decision taken by Panchayat Secretary and his behaviour towards the general public. 

The delegation discussed the issues in detail with the Chief Secretary. The Chief Secretary assured to look into the issues brought to his attention by the delegation, at the earliest.
