Mr. Aditya Kumar Asthana, Assistant Commissioner, Campbell Bay today inaugurated the ‘Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra’ at the premises of PHC Campbell Bay in the presence of Mr. E S Rajesh, Pramukh, Panchayat Samiti, Campbell Bay, PRI Members and staff of PHC Campbell Bay.
The Jan Aushadhi Kendra started functioning soon after its inauguration. At present a small number of generic medicines, glucometer etc. have been made available. More generic medicines and other products will be added soon at the Jan Aushadi Kendra at PHC Campbell Bay.
While speaking to Nicobar Times the PRI Members present on the occasion expressed their gratitude towards the Health Department of Andaman and Nicobar Administration and the doctors & staff of PHC Campbell Bay for taking the initiative of starting a Jan Aushadhi Kendra at PHC Campbell Bay.
Jan Aushadi Kendra will prove to be a boon for the residents of Great Nicobar who often find it very difficult to procure medicines from Port Blair.
Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Kendra inaugurated today at PHC Campbell Bay is the Southernmost Jan Aushadhi Kendra of India.
