The staff of PS Pahargaon have solved a theft case within 24 hours. The theft took place at Selva Vinayaga Temple, Bhatubasti. The accused person has been arrested and the stolen money has been recovered from him.
On 15/05/2022, a case vide FIR No. 84/2022 U/s 380 IPC was registered at PS Pahargaon after receiving a complaint from the Temple President, Selva Vinayaga Temple, Bathubasti regarding the theft of money from the temple hundi.
The investigation was entrusted to PSI Dilip Singh of PS Pahargaon and during the investigation, CCTV footage of the temple was analysed and the suspected person was identified. A team of PS Pahargaon comprising of SI Mohd. Rahil Islam, HC/ A Raja, PC/Jagdish Babu, PC/Amit Kumar and PC/Ashok Kumar under the supervision of Insp. Girish Kumar, SHO PS Pahargaon was constituted and the accused person was nabbed.
The accused person was arrested on 16/05/2022 at 1415 Hrs and later during the sustained examination, he confessed to committing theft from the temple. The stainless steel heavy duty strip which was used to break open the hundi, shoulder bag containing the apparel which he wore during theft and cash amounting to Rs. 5764/- was recovered from his possession. The team solved the theft case within 24 hours and successfully recovered the stolen money.
The general public has been requested to share information on any crime or other illegal activities with Police at 112, 03192-232100 & 03192-233077. Police informed that the identity of the informant will be kept secret.
