Non-Gazetted Police personnel of Andaman and Nicobar Police will now get a day off to celebrate their birthdays with their families. A circular in this regard has been issued by Mr. Shivendra Kant Tewari, Superintendent of Police (HQ). The day off for birthdays of police personnel is subject to official exigencies and other operational requirements, the circular added.
Delhi Police had earlier announced a day off for police personnel on their birthdays and wedding anniversaries in October 2021.
This welfare measure by Andaman and Nicobar Police will boost the morale of the force.
