15 New COVID-19 Cases Detected in Andaman and Nicobar Islands

15 New COVID-19 cases were detected in Andaman and Nicobar Islands recently. The total active COVID-19 cases in Andaman and Nicobar Islands stands at 24. On 17th June 2022, 12 flights with 1909 passengers arrived, out of which, 1654 passengers were vaccinated with both doses of COVID-19 Vaccine, while RT-PCR tests were conducted on 227 passengers and the reports are awaited.   

During RAT conducted on 57 passengers bound for North & Middle Andaman at Ferrargunj, no positive cases have been detected. At Phoenix Bay Jetty, 93 passengers were tested with RAT and no positive cases were detected. RAT was conducted on 62 passengers at Mohanpura Bus Terminus and no positive cases were detected. At the helipad, 3 passengers were tested with RAT and all were negative.
