N&MA District Police is conducting regular raids to make Andaman and Nicobar Islands Drugs Free. Acting on a credible information, a team headed by Inspr. Stalin N.S, SHO PS Diglipur, HC/1983 Thangarajan, HC/465 IRBn Santosh Nair, PC/2116 Abubacker Siddiqui, PC/2826 Devsai Toppo, PC/2565 Samaresh Mistry & Mr. Michael Raj Xalxo (Ex-Home Guard) conducted a raid near the parking of CHC Diglipur and recovered 2.342 Kg of illicit ganja from the possession of a resident of Sitanagar, Diglipur on 04/10/2022.
Illicit ganja was seized and the accused was arrested at the spot after observing all legal formalities and a case has been registered under relevant sections of NDPS Act at PS Diglipur.
The entire trap was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Manasvi Vshistha, DANIPS, SDPO, Diglipur, and overall direction and supervision of Ms. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, Superintendent of Police, N&M Andaman District.
The district police follows a policy of zero tolerance towards any organised crime. The general has been requested to pass and share any credible information pertaining to any crime or illegal activities to their nearest police station or over phone No.100, 112 & 03192-273344. Police informed that the identity of the informers will be kept secret and they will also be suitably rewarded.
