Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency is on a two-day visit to North & Middle Andaman for inspection of LOPs and National Highway. The Lt Governor inspected the National Highway on the way to Middle Strait Jetty by road.
During the visit to LOP Luis-in-Let Bay, the Lt. Governor interacted with Police & AAJVS officials. Thereafter, the Lt. Governor proceeded to Interview Island in the afternoon and interacted with Forest and Police Officials. The visit of the Hon’ble Lt. Governor has boosted the morale of the staff serving at LOP Luis-in-Let Bay and Interview Island. The Lt. Governor also enquired about their well-being and urged them to continue to safeguard the Islands from intruders.
The itinerary of the Lt. Governor for 10th November 2022, includes meeting with the PRI members, and Officers of various Departments at APWD Guest House, Mayabunder in the morning. Thereafter, the Lt. Governor will visit Betapur Saw Mill and Souvenir Shop. On completion of the visit, the Lt. Governor will return to Port Blair on the same day.
