A & N Islands Proudly Hosts Over 40 Mission Heads and International Organisations for G20 Curtain Raiser Event

India is all set to assume the G20 Presidency on 1st December 2022. Andaman and Nicobar Islands is hosting the Curtain Raiser event before India Assumes the G20 Presidency on the 1st of December 2022. Over 40 Mission Heads and International Organisations arrived at Port Blair on 25th November 2022, for the G20 Curtain Raiser Event. 

The dignitaries received a grand welcome at Veer Savarkar International Airport, Port Blair. Andaman and Nicobar Administration also organised a cultural performance for the visiting dignitaries at the Airport.

Later, Ambassadors of G20 Nations to India enjoyed a wholesome lunch with authentic cuisine of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The heads of the missions later visited the Cellular Jail and were given a tour of the iconic monument, which reflects the struggle of the freedom fighters during India’s Independence Movement.

The dignitaries then moved to Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Island). Early this morning Yoga Session was organised for the dignitaries at Kalapathar Beach. The dignitaries also participated in a beach cleaning drive after the early morning beach Yoga at Kalapathar Beach.
