Andaman & Nicobar Islands Khadi & Village Industries Board jointly with the Industries Department, Employment Exchange and Department of Rural Development, A&N Administration will be organising ‘Rozgar evam Sawrojgar Mela’ in association with like-minded agencies implementing Govt. Sponsored Schemes. The Mela will be held on 28th December 2022, at Multipurpose Hall, Subash Gram, Diglipur, North Andaman from 10 am to 4 pm.
The main objective of the Rozgar Mela will be to provide a platform to departments encouraging self-employment and private employers. Job Seekers will be encouraged to set up their livelihood venture by availing benefits of Govt. sponsored schemes or they can also seek placement in the private sector.
During the programme, information kiosks separately for each participating Department and Banks will be set up to disseminate information to the interested beneficiaries on the formalities/procedure for application submission and benefits of various schemes being implemented by the departments. As part of the programme, Employment Exchange will organise a placement drive for job seekers, wherein on-the-spot placements will be given in Private Sector firms.
Unemployed youth have been requested to attend the programme and take benefit of the services being offered by various departments and agencies.
