Mr. E S Rajesh, Pramukh, Panchayat Samiti, Campbell Bay on 27th January 2023, wrote to the Director (Shipping Services), A & N Administration requesting him to schedule a Ship Sailing to Chennai from Port Blair via Campbell Bay.
Mr. Rajesh explained to the Director that the Kumbhabhishekam of God Murugan at Campbell Bay will start on 22nd February 2023. He explained the importance of the Kumbhabhishekam ceremony and informed that to perform the ceremony properly, priests will be called from Chennai. Further, he explained that puja items will also be imported from Chennai.
Mr. Rajesh also informed that in the last ten months no voyage has been scheduled to Chennai via Campbell Bay and the traders of Great Nicobar have also been waiting for a ship to Chennai via Campbell Bay.
He had requested the Director (Shipping Services) to schedule a ship to Chennai via Campbell Bay around the 10th of February 2023, to facilitate Kumbhabhishekam of God Murugan at Campbell Bay and to facilitate the traders.
Mrs. Pramila Kumari, Adhyaksha, ZP South Andaman and Ms. Lella Bathi, Zilla Parishad Member, Laxmi Nagar also recently met the authorities and requested a ship sailing from Port Blair to Chennai via Campbell Bay.
Mr. E S Rajesh thanked the Senior Officials of A & N Administration for scheduling a ship from Port Blair to Chennai via Little Andaman, Nancowry & Campbell Bay on 10th February 2023, which will sail back from Chennai on 17th February 2023.
