Andaman and Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee recently organised Haath Se Haath Jodo Campaign in several parts of Diglipur. Congress has been organising Haath Se Haath Jodo Programmes Nationwide.
Mr. Rangalal Halder, President, ANTCC, Mr. TSG Bhasker, Campaign Committee Chairman, ANTCC and Mr. P R Singha Ram, Pradhan led the Haath Se Haath Jodo Campaign at Subash Gram, Diglipur Bazaar. They appealed to the people to join Congress.
Haath Se Haath Jodo Campaign was also organised at Diglipur Panchayat and Durgapur Fisheries Colony. ANTCC leaders met fishermen and listened to their issues. The leaders assured to take up the problems of the fishermen with the Director and Secretary of Fisheries.
A programme was also organised at Diglipur Panchayat Bhavan where ANTCC leaders met the youth of the area and explained about the growing unemployment issue in the Islands. They also encouraged the youth to take up self-employment.
Mr. Zubair, President, City Congress, Mr. Sebastian Tirkey, Chairman, Adivasi Congress, and other leaders of the party also participated in the Haath Se Haath Jodo Campaign at Diglipur.
