Mr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman and Mr. Boominathan, Up-Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, on 4th April 2023, called on Admiral D K Joshi, Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands at Raj Nivas, Port Blair.
Hon’ble Lt. Governor congratulated and extended best wishes for their successful tenure. They also discussed various matters related to developmental projects in Zilla Parishad.
Mrs. S Selvi, Chairperson, PBMC and Mr. Dharmendra Narayan, Senior Vice Chairperson, PBMC, also called on Admiral D K Joshi, Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, at Raj Nivas, Port Blair, on 4th April. Lt. Governor also congratulated them and extended his best wishes. They also discussed ongoing civic projects in PBMC and other matters related to PBMC.
Zilla Parishad, South Andaman and PBMC heads have recently assumed office after the internal elections for their respective posts were held for the second term.
The term of the Adhyaksh and Up-Adhyaksh of Zilla Parishad, South Andaman and Chairperson and Sr. Vice Chairperson of PBMC is one year. Every year, internal elections are held to elect the respective heads of the organizations.
