Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Committee Member, BJP, on 5th April 2023, met the Secretary, Social Welfare, A & N Administration and raised the following issues:-
1. He raised the issue of serious delay in receipt of old age pension, Widow Pension, Destitute Allowances and Handicap Allowance. He pointed out that for most of the beneficiaries, the amount of pension and allowance is the only source of livelihood and therefore even a week’s delay in disbursement of these allowances creates a huge burden on them. Therefore, he urged to ensure that the benefits reaches the beneficiaries well within the 1st or 2nd day of every month.
2. Mr. Vishal Jolly further raised another important issue of delay in supply of ration items to all the Anganwadi centres, especially the distantly located centres. He pointed out that large number of residents from several places have pointed out this issue and in order to maintain the sanctity of social welfarism, immediate steps needs to be taken to ensure that the ration items reaches all centres well in advance.
Secretary, Social Welfare, A & N Administration positively considered all the issues raised by Mr. Jolly and agreed to take positive and needful steps in this regard at the earliest.
