Weather Warning: Thunderstorms, Lightning, and Gusty Winds Expected in Andaman & Nicobar Islands

The Andaman & Nicobar Islands are set to experience adverse weather conditions in the coming days, as the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds with speeds ranging from 30 to 40 kmph. The warning covers the dates of July 30, 31, and August 1, urging residents to stay cautious and take necessary precautions.

The IMD also issued a separate warning for the Andaman Sea and its surrounding regions, where strong monsoon currents are predicted to result in wind speeds exceeding 45 kmph. In light of the prevailing conditions, local authorities have issued an advisory to all fishermen, urging them not to venture into the sea until August 2.
