In a commendable display of their unwavering commitment to maintaining a safe community, the Pahargaon Police Station has successfully solved two bike theft cases and recovered the stolen motorcycles.
The breakthrough in these cases unfolded on August 23, 2023, when Mr. Charles Primeo, a resident of Beodnabad Village, reported the theft of his Bajaj Pulsar 125 CC motorcycle, bearing registration number AN01 Q 2591, to PS Pahargaon. Acting swiftly, the police registered the case under FIR No. 146/23 dated 23/08/2023, invoking Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The responsibility for investigating this case was entrusted to Assistant Sub-Inspector Peter Indwar of PS Pahargaon.
A dedicated team from PS Pahargaon, led by Sub-Inspector Manish Narayan, ASI Peter Indwar (the investigating officer), and constables Jagdish Babu, S S Yadav, and Santosh Lall, worked diligently under the supervision of IPS Officer K M Priyanka, the Station House Officer (SHO) of PS Pahargaon.
During their intensive investigation, the team successfully located the stolen motorcycle. It had been stripped of its number plate and other company markings but was identified through its chassis number. Further inquiry led to the identification of the culprit, Mr. Manish Narayan, a 23-year-old resident of Teylerabad.
Under questioning, Manish Narayan confessed to stealing the motorcycle and removing its number plate, company markings, and certain bike components. He also admitted to a previous bike theft case involving a vehicle registered under AN01 J 0766, which had already been reported at PS Pahargaon. This stolen motorcycle was subsequently recovered from Manish Narayan’s residence. Unfortunately, most of its parts had been dismantled and removed by the accused.
