Mr. Rangalal Halder, the President of the Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee, has made an earnest appeal to the Medical Administration for the appointment of specialist doctors at the Mayabunder District Hospital in North & Middle Andaman.

In a formal letter directed to the Directorate of Health Services under the A & N Administration, Mr. Halder highlighted the significant difficulties faced by patients in the region due to a shortage of qualified medical professionals.

Mr. Halder underscored the severe consequences of the absence of specialist doctors at the district hospital. He pointed out that this shortage has resulted in delayed diagnoses, insufficient treatment, and an increase in the suffering of patients, directly impacting their health and well-being.

Furthermore, he emphasised the urgent need for specialised treatment for the economically disadvantaged patients at the Mayabunder Hospital. He noted that several individuals in these areas struggle to access the specialised care they require within the hospital’s current resources.

To address these pressing concerns, Mr. Halder has called upon the Medical Administration to take immediate and necessary steps to expedite the appointment of specialist doctors at the Mayabunder District Hospital.

The appeal from the President of the Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee highlights the critical need for enhanced medical care availability in the region and the essential role that specialist doctors would play in meeting these healthcare demands.
