Member of Parliament Lays Foundation Stone for Three Vital Projects Under MPLADS

Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, the Member of Parliament representing the region, marked a momentous occasion on Friday, September 15, 2023, by laying the foundation stone for three crucial projects that have been sanctioned under the Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS). These projects are set to provide substantial benefits to the general public residing in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

The three projects initiated by Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma are as follows:

1. Construction of a Small Mini Stadium Gallery at St. Mary School, Bathu Basthi: The first project involves the construction of a small mini stadium gallery on the grounds of St. Mary School, Bathu Basthi. This facility is dedicated to fostering sports activities for the youth of the region and will be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 17,52,918.

2. Blacktop Road Development in Ward No. 3, Sippighat: The second project focuses on the improvement of infrastructure in Ward No. 3, Sippighat, through the construction of a blacktop road spanning a length of 110 meters. This initiative aims to enhance connectivity and accessibility for local residents and comes at an estimated cost of Rs. 17,69,381.

3. Construction of RCC Retaining Wall, PCC Retaining Wall, Footpath, Side Drain, and Steps at Brookshabad: The third project encompasses the construction of various essential components including an RCC retaining wall, PCC retaining wall, footpath, side drain, and steps at Brookshabad. This comprehensive development initiative is expected to significantly improve the local infrastructure at an estimated cost of Rs. 20,74,875.

These projects have been sanctioned in response to the demands raised by the public residing in the respective areas, reflecting a commitment to addressing the immediate needs and concerns of the local communities. The anticipated benefits from these initiatives are set to provide substantial relief and enhance the overall quality of life for residents in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
