Every Member Listed in Ration Cards Across A & N Islands to Mandatorily Complete e-KYC at Nearest FPS by 30th November 2023

The Department of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands has launched an extensive e-KYC process for every member listed in Ration Cards across the Union Territory, following directives from the Government of India.

  • All members listed in Ration Cards, including Above Poverty Line (APL), Priority Households (PHH), and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) beneficiaries, are mandated to undergo e-KYC.
  • The deadline for completing the e-KYC process is set for November 30, 2023.
  • All members are urged to visit their nearest Fair Price Shops (FPS) with their Aadhaar numbers and Ration Cards to facilitate the e-KYC for all listed members.
  • Additionally, Room No. 20 at the Directorate of Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs in Port Blair, along with respective Supply Offices on other islands, are designated venues for e-KYC completion.
  • Fair Price Shop dealers have been instructed to actively publicise this initiative among Ration Card holders and ensure the e-KYC process is completed within the stipulated timeline. They are directed not to deny any cardholders seeking e-KYC verification.
  • Any issues faced by FPS dealers during the e-KYC process must be promptly reported to the Department to ensure swift resolution.
  • Elected representatives have been urged to spread awareness regarding this mandate in their respective areas.
