In a bid to bolster financial stability and empower citizens in rural India, the SVAMITVA scheme marked a pivotal milestone on November 20, 2023, during the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra held at Beodnabad & Calicut Panchayats. The event witnessed the issuance of SVAMITVA Property Cards to beneficiaries. A SVAMITVA Desk was also setup, aimed at spreading awareness about the initiative among the masses.
The beneficiaries, enthusiastic about sharing their success stories, highlighted the transformative impact of the SVAMITVA Card. They emphasised the ease of acquiring loans, swift resolution of land-related disputes, and streamlined transactions at Government Offices post-receiving their property cards under the SVAMITVA scheme.
During the campaign, a significant number of individuals approached the SVAMITVA Desk, seeking information about the scheme. They were promptly briefed about its nuances and encouraged to capitalise on the benefits offered by the SVAMITVA Card.
The SVAMITVA initiative, a Centre Sector Scheme launched by the Government of India, stands for the Survey of Villages Abadi and Mapping with improvised Technology in Village Areas. Its primary goal is to enable rural citizens to leverage their property as a financial asset, thus unlocking opportunities for obtaining loans and accessing various financial benefits.
Eligible individuals can secure their property cards through the designated portal at http://db.and.nic.in/propertycard, further facilitating their integration into the financial mainstream.
The distribution of SVAMITVA Property Cards, coupled with the information campaign held during the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, signifies a pivotal step towards empowering rural communities and fostering financial inclusivity across India’s heartlands.
