In anticipation of the historic consecration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024, the Hindu Rashtra Shakti of Andaman and Nicobar Islands has penned a fervent appeal to the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi, requesting a government leave to commemorate this auspicious occasion.

The letter, signed by Rakeshwar Lall, the State President of Hindu Rashtra Shakti, resonates with the sentiments of the Hindu community in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, seeking facilitation for the celebration of this monumental event.

The consecration of the Ram Mandir stands as a testament to the aspirations and faith of millions of Hindus across India. It symbolizes unity, harmony, and the realisation of a cherished dream. Recognising its profound cultural and religious significance, the Hindu community is poised to observe this day with reverence and festivity.

Plans are underway across the islands for elaborate ceremonies, cultural performances, and communal gatherings in honour of the Ram Mandir consecration. However, the absence of a government-sanctioned leave on this pivotal day may impede the full and enthusiastic participation of the Hindu community in these celebrations.

Rakeshwar Lall’s missive emphasises the importance of the government’s support in allowing the Hindu populace of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands to partake in this momentous occasion with fervour and vigour. The granting of a government leave on January 22, 2024, is not just a request for a day off but a call for fostering unity, cultural pride, and inclusivity among communities.

The letter concludes with a plea for the Prime Minister’s understanding and backing, citing the cultural and religious significance of the Ram Mandir consecration. It expresses optimism for a favourable response that will be met with gratitude and a shared sense of celebration from the Hindu community.
