The National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), established under section 3 of the Commission of Protection of Child Rights (CPCR) Act 2005, reaffirms its commitment to safeguarding the rights of children by launching its annual Pariksha Parv celebrations. Aimed at fostering a positive attitude towards exams and alleviating exam-related stress, the event seeks to create an environment conducive to the holistic growth and well-being of children.
In a bid to promote children’s participation, NCPCR has unveiled a series of engaging activities. Students from classes 6th to 12th are encouraged to share 60-second audio-video messages on the theme “EXAM WARRIOR” via the NCPCR website link (http://parikshaparv.in), accessible from February 1st to February 20th, 2024. Additionally, an online quiz based on chapters from the book “EXAM WARRIORS” will be hosted on the Commission’s website (https://examwarriorsquiz.ncpcrweb.in/). Participants will receive e-certificates upon completion of the quiz.
Recognizing the need for psychological support during the exam season, NCPCR has introduced Tele Counselling-SAMVEDNA, a toll-free helpline (18001212830), staffed by a team of qualified experts and counsellors. This service aims to address children’s stress, anxiety, and other psychosocial concerns encountered during the examination period.
The District Child Protection Unit (SA) under district administration has urged children to actively participate in NCPCR’s initiatives and take advantage of Tele Counselling services by dialing the toll-free number 18001212830 whenever needed. For further assistance and support, the District Child Protection Unit can be reached at Room No. 19, Deputy Commissioner Office, South Andaman.
Through Pariksha Parv celebrations and supportive measures like Tele Counselling-SAMVEDNA, NCPCR reaffirms its commitment to ensuring the well-being and empowerment of children, fostering a conducive environment for their holistic development.
