In a commendable display of investigative prowess, the Pahargaon Police Station has swiftly cracked a mysterious death case, revealing a chilling murder plot. The saga began on 24th February 2024 when the PS Pahargaon registered an Unnatural Death First Information Report (UDFIR) under Section 174 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) upon the discovery of a deceased individual, identified as Sushil Kido, son of Paulus Kido, aged 34 years and hailing from Khadiapada, Karamunda, Ralakhandi, Sundargarh, Odisha, whose body was found near the forest in quarry area of Brichgunj. Sushil Kido, a worker at the quarry, had been reported missing since the 18th of February 2024.
During the post-mortem examination (PME), medical expert concluded that the deceased had sustained fatal injuries, including a severe blow to the left forehead and lower right chest, likely caused by a solid object, leading to his demise.
Acting swiftly on the findings of the PME and the report submitted by the investigating officer of the UDFIR, the PS Pahargaon registered a First Information Report (FIR) under sections 302/201 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on the 25th of February 2024. The investigation into the matter was promptly initiated.
As the investigation progressed, the focus turned to two prime suspects: Phagu Xalxo, son of Mr. Choya Xalxo, aged 38 years, and Rabi Badaik, son of Late Sunny Badaik, aged 32 years, both employed as labourers at SL Crushers in Brichgunj. Following extensive interrogation, the suspects confessed to their involvement in the heinous crime. Subsequently, they were arrested and are set to be produced before the Honourable Court on the 26th of February 2024. Further investigation into the case remains ongoing.
