Dy.SP Transferred Out of Campbell Bay for Beating a Journalist for Recording his Spouse Driving Official Vehicle of A&N Police; Sanjay Kumar Singh Expressed Gratitude to DGP

Shri. Sanjay Kumar Singh, State Vice President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands has expressed gratitude to the Director General of Police, Andaman and Nicobar Administration for Transferring Dy.SP Campbell Bay who had beaten Tarun Karthick the Editor of Nicobar Times at Police Station Campbell Bay because he had recorded the spouse of the Dy.SP driving the official vehicle of Andaman and Nicobar Police. The Director General of Police had ensured to take appropriate action against the errant officer and the first step has been taken by the DGP in this regard by transferring the officer out of Campbell Bay. 

Campbell Bay Bandh and Chakka Jam had been called by the Bharatiya Janata Party on 8th of February 2021 for pressing for the demand of action against the errant officer. The Bandh and Chakka Jam was called off after the DGP ensured appropriate action against the officer. 

The transfer of the officer from Campbell Bay is the first step towards ensuring justice and to rebuild faith for police in the residents of Great Nicobar.

Nicobar Times also expressed gratitude to the Director General of Police, Andaman and Nicobar Islands; to the general public of the Islands; to Shri. Sanjay Kumar Singh and all Political Leaders who supported us and pushed hard to get us justice.
