Teams led by SI Suresh (SHO, PS Kalighat) have been conducting searches in the jungles of OP Kishorinagar. Inputs were received by the police that some people may have shifted their fermentation setup inside the jungles. The operation was fruitful and the police teams destroyed about 1000 Litres of Lehan during the searches.
The teams of police are working even during inclement weather since delay in taking action on the information can lead to supply of illicit liquor to the general public.
Police have urged the General Public not to buy or consume illicit liquor and inform them if someone around them is involved in such activities.
