Andaman and Nicobar Islands has eight active cases of COVID-19 as on 14th of September 2021. Two new COVID-19 cases were detected in the Islands on 13th of September 2021 as per the latest health bulletin released by Andaman and Nicobar Administration.
The Islands have recorded 2590 cases of COVID-19 since 1st of March 2021 out of which 2515 patients have recovered and have been discharged from the hospitals/COVID Care Centres. The Islands have also recorded 67 deaths due to COVID from 1st of March 2021.
Andaman and Nicobar Islands have recorded a total of 7584 cases of COVID-19 from the start of the pandemic, with 7447 recoveries and 129 deaths.
All eight active cases of COVID-19 are currently in South Andaman District and the other two district of the Islands are COVID-19 free as on date. All precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 are being taken by the A & N Administration and the Islanders, in general, are seen following all COVID-19 protocols.
The residents of the Islands have been administered with 2,75,784 first dose COVID-19 Vaccinations till date which constitutes 97.93% of the total eligible population for vaccination. The total eligible population for COVID-19 vaccination in Andaman and Nicobar Islands has been approximated to be at 2,81,603.
1,14,623 people have also been inoculated with the second dose of COVID-19 Vaccine in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Andaman and Nicobar Police has imposed 405 challans on residents and shops in the last 24 hours for violating COVID-19 norms and protocols.
