59 New COVID-19 Cases Detected in Islands on 18th April 2021

59 New COVID-19 positive cases were detected in Andaman and Nicobar Islands on 18th April 2021. Out of the 59 New cases, 18 positive cases were detected from those who arrived to the Islands by flights on 18th April. 54 COVID-19 positive patients have also cured/discharged from Hospital on 18th April. 

No COVID-19 related deaths were reported on 18th April in the official health bulletin of Andaman and Nicobar Administration.

The total active case tally of Andaman and Nicobar Islands currently stands at 126 out of which one patient is isolated in North and Middle Andaman District and the rest 125 patients have been isolated in South Andaman District. Nicobar District has not reported any cases as of yet during the recent surge in the number of COVID-19 positive cases.

The Test Positivity Rate of Andaman and Nicobar Islands stands at 1.53% and the Rate of Testing per Million at 880215. Altogether 3,52,086 samples have been tested in Andaman and Nicobar Islands till date.

The Islands have witnessed 5390 COVID-19 cases since the start of the pandemic and out of which 5200 have cured/discharged from hospital while 64 have also lost their lives.
