Andaman and Nicobar Islands Crosses 100% Mark of 1st Dose Vaccination

Andaman and Nicobar Islands has crossed the 100% mark of the 1st Dose Vaccination of its estimated eligible population. According to the latest health bulletin released by Andaman and Nicobar Administration, 2,81,711 people in the Islands have received their 1st dose of COVID-19 vaccination till 20th of September 2021. The eligible beneficiaries for COVID-19 vaccination in Andaman and Nicobar Islands were earlier estimated at 2,81,603.

1,34,178 people have also been administered with the second dose of COVID-19 vaccination in the Islands.

Altogether Andaman and Nicobar Islands have administered 4,15,889 doses of COVID-19 vaccines till 20th of September 2021. 

The current active tally of COVID-19 cases in Andaman and Nicobar Islands stands at 15. Two new cases were detected in the Islands recently. Out of the 15 cases, 14 active cases of COVID-19 has been reported from the South Andaman District and one case has been detected in North and Middle Andaman District. Nicobar District has not reported any COVID-19 cases recently.

Both the recent COVID-19 positive cases detected in the Islands are Airport Arrivals and no cases of local transmission were detected in the Islands in the last 24 hours.
