There is a constant rise in COVID-19 cases in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. In the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic the Islands have witnessed 10 deaths so far.
There are 225 active cases of COVID-19 in the Islands according to the latest health bulletin released by Andaman and Nicobar Administration.
Apart from following all COVID-19 protocols and norms it has also become very important for everyone to monitor their health and if they experience any symptoms of COVID-19 they should immediately report it to their nearest health care centre.
The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are fever, dry cough, tiredness. Some of the less common symptoms are aches and pains, sore throat, diarrhoea, conjunctivitis, headache, loss of taste or smell, a rash on skin and discolouration of fingers or toes. Serious Symptoms of COVID-19 are difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, chest pain or pressure, loss of speech or movement.
Hiding symptoms of COVID-19 may become fatal for one. It is very important to report even the slightest of symptoms to the health care workers.
Further one should also isolate themselves from their families as soon as they notice any symptoms.
If the symptoms are mild one should try consulting the health care workers over phone first and on the advise of the health care workers can visit the health care centres.
