A Food Festival was organised at Big Lapathy Community Hall yesterday i.e. on 20th September 2021 by ITDA, Nicobar in collaboration with Tribal Council, Car Nicobar. The food festival was inaugurated by Mr. Yash Chaudhary, DC Nicobars in the presence of Mr. Aditya Kumar Jha, Assistant Commissioner (HQ), Car Nicobar, Chairman, Tribal Council, Car Nicobar and other officials of Tribal Council, Car Nicobar.
Under #POSHANMaah2021, DC & SDM visited Big Lapathy Community hall in presence of CTC,Car Nic.Local nutritious food products prepared by Tribals was displayed. The programme was organised as a part of the National Nutrition Month-2021. Various nutritious local tribal dishes were on display at the programme.
Every year since 2018 the month of September is celebrated as Poshan Maah to improve nutritional outcomes for children, adolescent girls, pregnant women and lactating mothers.
