I wish to congratulate my Pharmacist friends across the world on the occasion of World Pharmacist Day which is celebrated on 25th of September every year. This year’s theme “ Pharmacy : Always trusted for your health “ stands very clear and gives a message to the people that Pharmacist and Pharmacy are one of the most reliable among the health care provider . During the Covid Pandemic, Pharmacist played a very crucial role in the discovery of vaccine across the world and worked tirelessly for saving many precious lives by timely providing medicines to the needy. Although, government has not been able to recognise the service and potential of Pharmacist in India, the various government / institutions across the world has already accepted the essentiality of Pharmacy / Pharmacist in the health sector.
As the government is looking for digitalization of health infrastructure across India, the Pharmacists have a very crucial role to play in the entire health Eco-system. Taking better health facilities, especially to the rural part of India, Indian Pharmacist Association (IPA) in association with Tattvan will be launching E-Clinic across India on 25th September 2021. Indian Pharmacist Association (IPA) has time and again represented the Pharmacy community in the webinars been conducted by the National Digital Health Mission (NDHM). There are many challenges ahead but we need to be united and stand together for the betterment of our noble profession!
