A 10-day Tailoring and Embroidery Training Programme, organized by DAY-NRLM, CD Block Diglipur in collaboration with the Industries Department, was inaugurated on 9th October 2025, in Diglipur. The initiative aims to empower rural women by enhancing their skills and promoting economic self-reliance.
While inaugurating the programme, Mr. M. Rajendra Kumar, Block Development Officer (BDO), Diglipur, emphasized the importance of such capacity-building efforts, noting that they play a crucial role in strengthening the economic fabric of local communities.
Ms. Afreen Neesa, Industries Promotion Officer (IPO), Diglipur, outlined a detailed roadmap of the 10-day training, highlighting the practical skills and latest techniques in tailoring and embroidery that participants would learn. Following the inauguration, both the BDO and IPO distributed training kits to all 30 participants.
The programme will continue until 21 October 2025 and will focus on equipping women members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) from various areas under Diglipur with skills that can support entrepreneurship and livelihood generation.
