1,51,462 Second Dose COVID-19 Vaccines Administered in A & N Islands

According to the latest figures released by the Andaman and Nicobar Administration 1,51,462 doses of second dose COVID-19 vaccination has been administered to the eligible population in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. 

In terms of percentage, 52.33% of people who received the first dose of COVID-19 Vaccination in the Islands have also received their second dose of the vaccine. Andaman and Nicobar Islands has vaccinated 2,89,442 residents with the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination until today i.e. 29th of September 2021.

In total 4,40,904 doses of COVID-19 Vaccines have been administered in the Islands till date. 

The active COVID-19 case tally of the Islands has also fallen to 9. All 9 Active cases of COVID-19 have been detected at South Andaman District. North and Middle Andaman and Nicobar District are currently COVID-19 free.

Overall the Islands have recorded 7620 cases of COVID-19 from the start of the pandemic out of which 7482 have recovered and 129 people have lost their lives. The second wave of COVID-19 has taken 67 lives in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and 2626 confirmed cases of COVID-19 has been recorded in the second wave till date. 

6376 isolation beds are available across all three districts of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. South Andaman has the highest number of isolation beds at 5583, followed by Nicobar which has 507 isolation beds. North and Middle Andaman has 286 isolation beds.

5,50,232 samples have been tested in the Islands for COVID-19 till date. The Cumulative Test Positivity Rate of Andaman and Nicobar Islands is 1.38%.
