COVID-19 Vaccination for those in the age group of 18-44 years began today from 9:30 Am in the Islands. 300 beneficiaries who had booked their slots will be administered with the first dose of COVISHIELD.
JNRM is the only designated Vaccination Centre for 18+ Vaccination in South Andaman District at present. North and Middle Andaman District and Nicobar District has not started the vaccination for 18+ yet.
A lot of excitement was seen among the 18+ beneficiaries receiving their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine at JNRM Vaccination Centre today.
Nicobar Times spoke to a few beneficiaries waiting in queue to get their jabs at JNRM Vaccination Centre and everyone expressed satisfaction on the arrangements made for them at the vaccination centre.
Meanwhile the according to the latest data on Co-Win Portal. The slots for vaccination on 20th May 2021 and 22nd May 2021 are now fully booked for 18+ vaccination at JNRM Vaccination Centre. For some reason the slot for 21st May 2021 was not opened for booking today but the slots for 22nd May was made available for booking.
