A group of 180 National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets, along with officers and staff from various NCC Directorates, arrived at the Military Station, Brichgunj, Sri Vijaya Puram, to participate in the Special National Integration Camp (SNIC)–2026, which commenced on January 13 and will continue till January 22, 2026. The contingent includes cadets from 17 NCC Directorates across the country, including participants from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The arrival of the cadets marks an important milestone in the camp, which aims to promote national integration, discipline, leadership, and awareness among youth drawn from diverse regions of India.
Following their arrival, the cadets were formally addressed by the Camp Commandant, Col. Hariteja, at the Likabali Auditorium, Military Station, Brichgunj. The address was delivered in the presence of Col. K.Y. Singh, Commanding Officer of the Army Unit, and Lt. Cdr. Reyaz Farooq, Commanding Officer of the Naval Unit. The officers welcomed the cadets and emphasized the importance of unity, mutual understanding, and the role of youth in nation-building.
As part of the inaugural programme, Lt. Dr. Vivek Kumar Sahu, Associate NCC Officer (ANO), JNRM, delivered a presentation on the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The presentation highlighted the islands’ rich history, strategic importance, cultural diversity, biodiversity, and geographical significance, providing the visiting cadets with valuable insights into the region.
Subsequently, documentation and registration formalities of the cadets were carried out at the camp site. The Special National Integration Camp will feature a series of activities, interactions, and training sessions aimed at fostering camaraderie and strengthening the spirit of national unity among the cadets.
