Andaman and Nicobar Administration declared detection of 38 new cases of COVID-19 in Andaman and Nicobar Islands on 14th of April. Death of one COVID-19 patient was also reported. Altogether there are 106 active cases of COVID-19 in the Islands now. 24 patients have also cured/discharged from the hospital on 14th April as per the official data published in the Health Bulletin.
All the cases in Andaman and Nicobar Islands have been reported from the South Andaman District and there are no positive COVID-19 cases in North and Middle Andaman District & Nicobar District.
The official data from the health bulletin shows that there are 838 isolation beds available in South Andaman District out of which 106 are occupied on 14th April.
173 Isolation beds are also available in North and Middle Andaman District and none of them are occupied. In Nicobar District there are 26 isolation beds which are all available.
Altogether Andaman and Nicobar Islands have witnessed 5247 COVID-19 cases since the start out of which 5078 have cured and 63 have lost their lives so far.
